Imade Memorial Blood Drive
Jul 10, 2009St. Paul, Minnesota — 3M Student Programs is organizing a Blood Drive in memorial of Imade Asemota. Imade completed two undergraduate research internships at 3M which she attributed as having shaped her research and career goals. Imade was scheduled to begin her latest 3M assignment on May 26th.
The Blood Drive is scheduled for Friday, July 24th, from 8am to 1pm and is open to all interested individuals.
Details/information regarding the event are as follows:
- Blood Mobile will be parked along the curb, by the flagpole outside bldg 224
- Contact Marianne by 4:00 pm July 14 to schedule a time between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - appoinments scheduled every 15 minutes
- It will take a little over one hour to go through the entire process
- If you plan on donating, make sure you eat something for breakfast that day
- You will not be able to participate if you have donated blood in the past 56 days
- 5 volunteers are needed to work a one hour shift at the greeter/registration table
- A card will be available for all participants to sign - this will be given to Imade's family
- 25 Units are needed - these means at least 28 people are needed to donate
